If you are a victim in need of protection, we can get you that protection within 48 hours of contacting our office.  Make sure you tell us that you are need of obtaining the protection of a restraining order.  The sooner you contact us after an abusive incident, the more likely we will be able to get you the protection you need.  Waiting too long can impact your case. 

If you have been accused of abusing someone and have been served a restraining order contact us immediately.   There are deadlines that can be easily missed, and mounting your defense as soon as possible is imperative.  If a restraining order is issued against you, it can have significant and long-term consequences on your ability to have custody and visitation with your children.

Whether you are a victim or have been accused of committing domestic abuse, you need to know that the definition of abuse in California has become very broad.  Domestic violence does not always mean physical violence.  Domestic Violence includes conduct that is harassing and that disturbs your peace.   It also includes behavior that is overly controlling.
