Biography
Grant McArthur is a dedicated legal advocate with a broad litigation background and a strong commitment to supporting families through complex legal matters. Mr. McArthur earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, one of the nation’s most prestigious and highly ranked institutions. He began his legal career with a public interest focus, working for the Staunton Public Defenders Office during law school, and then the San Diego Public Defenders Office as a Post-Bar Law Clerk.
He moved into Federal Litigation where he practiced in patent infringement claims against large Fortune 500 companies and has handled general civil litigation disputes for clients as well. Mr. McArthur is barred in every California Federal District Court, in Eastern Wisconsin Federal District, and has experience litigating pro hac vice in many states across the country.
He then took a few years away from litigation to fulfill his desire to serve and did so by representing children in dependency and delinquency cases. With his background as a litigation attorney, Mr. McArthur has handled countless family law cases involving complex issues. He has successfully tried numerous cases and found positive outcomes for his clients in the full gamut of family law court hearings that exist in this field of practice.
Mr. McArthur is particularly focused on keeping his clients well advised in their matters so that they understand the different options they have in getting most advantageous outcomes. Whether this involves negotiating favorable settlement outcomes or putting the facts in front of the court for resolution, he is well prepared and strategic in his approach. His diverse background has given him high level court room experience, which allows him to provide clients with well-rounded representation as a family law practitioner.
